Slide Sets

This address once offered slide sets for health professionals and educators, each viewable slide by slide in the browser, as a text-only version, or as a PowerPoint or PDF file to download for a presentation.

The sets are reproduced from archived copies at their original addresses: 650 slide and menu pages and 73 PDF and PowerPoint files. They present guidelines and figures as they stood when the sets were published, and several of those guidelines have since been revised, so use them as a record of their time rather than as current guidance. Where a slide or a file did not survive in the archive, its link says so and leads back here.

Each section below starts with its original menu page, which lists the slide shows with their "View Online", text-only and download links. The full list of recovered pages follows, grouped by slide show.

Overweight, obesity and portion size

Two Portion Distortion slide shows comparing portion sizes of twenty years earlier with those of the day, and a slide show of the adult clinical guidelines on identifying, evaluating and treating overweight and obesity, in six sections.
